Digital HackFair is back with a new theme and exciting new prizes.
Digital Hackfair 2.0 is a virtual hackathon bringing the best developers and innovators from Pakistan to use Google technologies and build impactful solutions.
Google Developers and Telenor Velocity have collaborated to provide an opportunity to the youth of Pakistan to build tech solutions as part of this hackathon that is open for developers, builders, innovators and students. Our theme for this year's hackathon is Women Empowerment and we encourage all entries to be centered around problems faced by women in today's time #MORESeZyadaEmpowerment.
No matter if you are a student, expert, professional or even hobbyist, as long as you know how to use the power of code to build a solution you are welcome to join the challenge in any of the focus areas:
Fin-tech, Health-tech, Agri-tech, Ed-tech, Cyber Security and Others.
Important Note : This competition is open for all genders to apply.
Hackathon Details:

The online hackathon will be open for submission for 5 weeks (2nd Sep - 11th Oct 2021)

After the submission deadline a team of online judges will select the top 10 teams from Pakistan and invite them to a virtual pitching competition to win prizes.
- Judges for the final pitching competition will be announced later.

All submitted apps must use

either Android development (Java/Kotlin) or Flutter/Dart
-
use of Java/Kotlin for your application will fetch bonus points.
Submissions must include:

Demo video: (hosted on YouTube). Your video should be around 2 minutes, include a demo of your working application via a step-by-step visual demo and explain how you are using Android /Flutter to power the experience of your app.

Images. Submit few images / screenshots of the application that tells most about your product e.g. home page or any other feature page
Eligibility

This competition is only for developers from Pakistan.
- Both male and female candidates are encouraged to apply.

Submissions can be done as an individual or as a team (max 3 members) but only one entry will be allowed per Devpost account.
- Solutions presented in this competition must focus on Women Empowerment.

Existing startups with developer teams are encouraged to apply but they must submit new and non pre-existing apps to make it a fair level playing field for everyone.

Only the top 10 submissions will be invited to a virtual pitch session to make their final pitch in front of judges
